Responsibilities: awareness and visibility of HRSD core and divisional activities; development of information, education, communication and knowledge products; graphic design and video production; managing visibility campaigns; stakeholder engagement; capacity-building initiatives and programmes for stakeholders; events planning; developing stories of change and impact; reviewing and editing divisional reports; and development, implementation and monitoring of communications plans and strategies for HRSD as a division. Communications Manager, Pacific Horticultural & Agricultural Market Access (PHAMA) Programme
Responsibilities: development, implementation and monitoring of communications plans and strategies; development of knowledge, information and communication products for 6 Pacific countries, namely Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga and Vanuatu; and maintaining programme visibility regionally and globally via traditional media and digital/online platforms. Public Relations Officer
Contracted for crisis management through communications and implement a visibility campaign targeted at uplifting the organisation’s public profile and reputation following a spate of negative publicity. Also developed, implemented and monitored the FCS communications strategy and introduced its newsletter that remains an effective tool for visibility to this day.

Deputy Chief Subeditor and Journalist - The Fiji Times
Responsibilities: reviewing and editing news reports; vetting articles for potentially contentious content; deciding placement of stories in order of importance for the daily edition; newspaper layout and design; managing media campaigns; building team capacity and meeting multiple deadlines on a daily basis. As a journalist, responsibilities included doing interviews with people from all walks of life and across all levels of society; writing news reports, features and analytical articles; and photography.

Responsibilities included managing the operations of the newsroom from organising newsroom gatherings on a daily basis, verifying information from interviews, ensuring accuracy of information; fact checking; ensuring balance in stories; writing and editing articles for publication and protecting the media company from libel. Also worked as a features writer.
